Any question that gets asked sufficiently enough will be added here.
[orange]Q[/orange] Why are there only boards for three groups?
[green]A[/green] We only have the main three groups with boards. Should someone want to start a new group, and there is a sufficient number of creatures for it, a new board will be created for them.
[orange]Q[/orange] Why are you not allowing suchandsuch in this room?
[green]A[/green] Simple. It's London 1899. If suchandsuch cannot theoretically get to London in that time period, then it's not for play.
[orange]Q[/orange] Holy crap... no caps on Alphas and Alpha equivalent?
[green]A[/green] A population of 6.5 million is not going to have only 20 alphas for 10 species. Think about it. 6.5 million. Plus only the strong survive at this point in history.
[orange]Q[/orange] I'm pretty sure I've seen these powers before..
[green]A[/green] You probably have, you know, in the Anita Blake series, Merry Gentry or in general sci-fi itself. These particular write ups were done by Kuro and Bloodreflection.
[orange]Q[/orange] What does Limited mean on the caps page?
[green]A[/green] Limited means that while these things wouldn't typically be for play, you can inquire with the RCs about playing them. Plausable explanations means plausable play.
[orange]Q[/orange] I want to play a Leader character.
[green]A[/green] Sure, by all means. Just keep in mind that you'll be expected to play with people. Picking up a leader character and doing nothing with it is frowned upon. If you don't even try to be in character at least once over a span of a week, you will lose the position and will probably never have one again in LbLL.
[orange]Q[/orange] Why only one Leader character per player?
[green]A[/green] To make it fair. If one person has a multitude of Leaders and spends most of their time playing just one of them, it limits it for other people. Being a Leader also means that you have to rp with people.
[orange]Q[/orange] Can I make up my own vampire line/human power/etc?
[green]A[/green] Sure, just so long as you talk to the RCs first. We have no issue with people wanting to have their own kind of creature in the room but we do need to discuss the powers to ensure it's somewhat balanced.
[orange]Q[/orange] Whats a Weirding?
[green]A[/green] The Weirding is where the fae all came together to give up some of their power. This was done so that the humans wouldn't kill them all. Only one weirding has happened which removed the 'Godheads' but a fae is still pretty powerful.
[orange]Q[/orange] Whats a Godhead?
[green]A[/green] Basically a Fae was treated as a god, they had those that believed in them and worshipped them. It allowed them to be all powerful like gods.
[orange]Q[/orange] I want to play a Panwere, what should I know?
[green]A[/green] Panweres are pretty much standard stuff. We only allow 2 on account of how rare they were (6.5 milion people means there would probably be more then one). You can play any kind of panwere but just keep in mind that if you involve the food chain for your beasts, your panwere will be fucking nuts (cat, rat, dog or something similiar). Your beasts can also be of different level. The only thing is that the more different the levels and beasts, the more unstable your character will be.
[orange]Q[/orange] I'm playing this rare lycanthrope but no one wants to play with me. =(
[green]A[/green] It's not that no one wants to play with you. You have to keep in mind that sometimes it's hard to interact with a rare lycanthrope. Try asking someone if they want to play or if you can jump into something they've already got going.
[orange]Q[/orange] I want to play a lycanthrope but I don't know anything about that species.
[green]A[/green] You can always check wikipedia for the information regarding the natural version. Generally, a lycanthrope is going to have similiar traits to what type of animal it's infected with (cats are generally vain and prideful, wolves are loyal and pack oriented, etc). Plus, you can always ask the RCs for help.
[orange]Q[/orange] I want to be a Leader Shifter/Lycanthrope but there doesn't seem to be many of those around.
[green]A[/green] You can still play a leader character of that type. We're allowing leaders for all the groups in the room (Crows, Cats, Wolves, Rats, etc). Even if you don't have someone to boss around, you're more then welcome to make that character who'd be in charge.
[orange]Q[/orange] What are some common professions for Women?
[green]A[/green] Typically, women are employed as Bakers, Seamstresses, Maids, Tavern Wenches, Governesses, Teachers, Nuns, Housekeepers, and Prostitutes.
[orange]Q[/orange] Whats the dresscode in this era?
[green]A[/green] Generally, men wore pants/slacks and shirts. It would be common to see a man wearing something similiar to a suit most of the time. Women would be wearing dresses that go to their ankles. It is not common at all for a woman to be seen in pants and that is often frowned upon. For visual references, think the movies Sweeney Todd, Sherlock Holmes, From Hell, the Time Machine and various other Victorian era peices.
