Fae Powers and Weapons
Most Fae have standard powers for their species, these powers can become mixed when they cross breed, generally in a section like this I would list of the powers for each species, but the basics of that is covered in the fae species section. This section mostly used to describe Sidhe magic, glamour and hand/s of power. The hands of powers to be kept most be sealed in blood or sex after their gained, this isn’t a big point in the room since it’s common procedure to do such a thing after acquiring your hand of power, that being said, there is normally some kind of natural disaster that follows after a hand of power appears outside the Sithen. Glamour ranges in the ability to change the colour of your eyes to actually making an illusion seem so real the person believes it, generally speaking performing glamour on another fae or “breaking” their glamour to see what their hiding is considered rude and offensive in any culture. Fae Magic is something terrible, especially Goblin magic, though there are less than a hundred goblins capable of using magic at this point, they specialized in horrible spells of destruction that wracked their foes with pain or killed them in gruesome manners. The Sidhe magic is something fearsome, though more beautiful perhaps then the goblins it is non the less more potent and power in all aspects but perhaps the destructions capability, their magic can do everything from scry for a person to bring them to a new location. Each side might know a dozen or more spells and their power depended more on the particular sidhe as some specialized in magic while others did not, the magic is wild and powerful and was always treated with great respect.
Hand of Power
These are unique to full bloodied Sidhe and half blooded Sidhe, they range from touch, line of sight and beyond, their abilities cannot be on more than one fae at a time. As of right now all hands of powers found in the book are taken, this means you most create your own for your fae. You most include the range of the hand (touch/personal, Line of sight etc), with this in mind, no carbon copy hands of powers with a different name either, your hand needs to be unique to your character. One last final note, two hands of powers are extremely rare and will be approved or denied as the RC see’s fit. Below are the hands of powers mentioned in Merry Gentry, keep in mind, the hands are just a basic description not the many things you can do with them with some creative thinking. (their are more hands of powers cannon wise, this is just a sampling)
1. Air (Andais) Allows control of air
2. Blood (Merry) Pulls blood out of the body
3. Darkness (Andais) Can hear anything spoken at night
4. Flesh (Merry) Turn living creatures inside out
5. Old Blood (Cel) Makes old wounds bleed again
6. Flame (Doyle) Green fire that kills even fae, or offers illumintation
Items of Power
At this point in history they are becoming very rare, many have been lost or locked away, still from time to time some find their way into the world and another fae, sometimes even humans, though this is very, very rare. It should be noted very few fae in the Peddlers Court have an item of power and if they do, it is only a minor one, nothing huge, but below are a list of weapons or items of power from the books.
1. Mortal Dread: The Queens sword, the sword is forged with ties of mortal blood, meaning any blow from it that would be lethal, is lethal, even to fae.
2. Snick and Snack: Doyle’s twin daggers, they never miss a target when thrown
3. Winters Kiss: Frosts Sword, it could steal any faes passion and leave them as cold and barren as the winter snow.
4. The Black Coach: It is a warning of impending doom, it is also the means of transportation for the current queen of the court, and it has the ability to update its appearance and has a mind literally of its own.
5. Beathalachd: This ring gives whomever wears it vitality, it steals the very life and skill of your opponent.
