Peddlers Court
The Peddlers court is the court that the fae of London have created to make themselves feel more at home amongst the iron city of London. The court consists of only outcasts of the court, though they do make exceptions in the case of those fleeing the wrath of the kings/queens of the UnSeelie and Seelie court, because of this they have earned some amonosity amongst their kin back home, but the courts do not dare invade London and attempt to take care of the outcasts due to the disadvantage of not being as used to the iron as their banished members. It is due to this that the Peddler’s court survives and one might even say thrives in its location next to fleet street. One might ask why Fleet Street? It’s simple, this is the single largest gathering of humans on a day to day basis, this is the place where the ancient former god draws a little magic from each person to keep their small home safe and secure from the humans. It is in all manners an artificially created Sithen where the outcasts can live and lead a semblance to a normal life. There are no kings and queens in the Peddlers Court, there is a dozen or more elders who advise and help the day to day running of small sithen.
There are but a few laws in the Peddlers Court and they are as follows
1. No Fae shall ever bring a human into the Peddlers Court without express permission from the gate keeper
2. All Fae will conduct themselves in a manner appropriate to their species (goblins can leer, Sidhe may flirt etc)
3. No Fae is worth more than any other, any fae found attempting to subvert or control another fae (unless their goblin as is part of their life style of dominant and submissive) will be banished from the Peddlers Court.
4. No fae is greater than the Court, any Fae who attempts to undermine and bring about the fall or weakening of the court will be slain by iron.
5. Any fae caught breaking “human law” will be punished accordingly (if you’re smart enough not to get caught! There will be no repercussions, as long as no attention is turned to the Peddlers Court.)
