The fae have been part of humanity since before humanity can remember, they have served as out protectors, enemies and even our God’s throughout our history, but all of that has changed, there has been a shift in the power dynamic and with it a weakening of the once mighty fae empire. The first weirding has taken place and the fae have all lost their godheads, though substantially weaker now in their magical powers, they are by no means to weak to fight back should humanity choose to try an invade them. This is the largest worry in the fae sithin’s at this moment in time, the large amount of iron the humans have forged and built there cities has reduced the magical powers of the fae in human settlements immensely and they are loathe to go there in this day in age with their magical powers nearly severed in half. With most of the human’s weapons being iron based even in ammunition it has resulted in the highest rate of deaths amongst the immortals ever recorded, a sword is no match for a revolver no matter the years of experience if that iron bullet tears through your head. It is because of this the fae who have diplomatic relations with the human’s have started to adopt some of their culture and ways to even the playing grounds once more... for the first time in history the fae are following the human’s and learning their ways to survive, learning to gun sling to protect themselves in the cities of the mortals.
During this period of time in Fae history relationship with humans are rocky at best, the humans are fast pulling ahead of the fae and with this shift in power they are forcing the fae to adapt or die, to make agreements with the humans to continue survival, this is why the first weirding took place. Fae are not allowed to have humans worship them, to do so is immediate death at the hands of the courts or the humans, who ever catches you first. In exchange for this shift in power, the humans are leaving the fae alone. Both the Unseelie and Seelie court have shut their doors to everyone but the diplomats of the human kingdoms, because of this the greatest punishment in this era is not endless torture, its banishment to the human’s world, unable to return home and unable to connect to the magic like you once could. This has caused the human cities to develop small pockets all over Europe of fae who have been banished to the cities of the human’s, forced to be away from their homes and family. London has a particularly population of such fae, they live close to Fleet street where they peddle their beautiful wares, even breeding freely amongst the other fae and humans, this new fae culture is called the “Peddlers Courts” mockingly by the fae who have formed together to make a lose semblance of home. The inhabitants range from pure blood sidhe to the nightflyers.
The room while it deals with fae doesn’t deal with the courts, UnSeelie or Seelie, the fae played in this room are all outcasts, be they former nobles or merely just another fae in the great sithin, there are no kings or queen amongst these fae, the Peddlers court is open to all, no lords, ladies, kings or queens, all are equal in this court and those who are amongst it protect themselves and those of the court, even the rats respect the Peddlers court and do not meddle in its affairs.
(*Note)
It should be noted in the room due to its unique fae setting, that the general rules of the Unseelie and Unseelie court are not observed, so their practices and such are not going to be posted, those who are banished answer to there own unique code as you will see and a set of short but stern rules. This allows more freedom with the fae for those who are not as familiar with them as others and their stiff laws and behaviors.
